Hi Kevin, I spotted the link here on one of your newsgroup posts so popped over to have a look. The download for the components seems to be 300 bytes in size. I use Opera as my browser (latest) just in case that helps.
Take care

Me again, I seem to have a moderate button and the option of deleting people's posts. I've not tried it as there's only your two posts and mine at the moment, and I imagine I should be able to delete my own posts :) I couldn't find a PM button.

Hi DeveloperX,
Odd that you're having trouble with the download, although I dont' have Opera to test on. Did you use the form, or just the download link? And what happened when you did?
The form handler counts the download for our records, and adds the zip file to the response as an attachment. Any information you can provide will help. Meanwhile, if you send me an email, I can send the files to you. Just use my user name at dynamicsystems.com for the email address, and I'll get back to you ASAP!

As for the Moderator buttons, have you actually tried them? This is actually the "YetAnotherForum" open source ASP.Net 2.0 software, so I'm not sure whether you should be able to *see* the buttons or not, but you certainly shouldn't be able to *use* them!

Hmm curious, I just edited your post, added the "Test:" to the end. I'm a little loathed to play with the moderate buttons in case I break something :) I also had an issue recovering my password. I enter DeveloperX and my email address and an error pops up stating there was a problem creating my password. I managed to create a new account though. I'm using IE today as I'm in the office. V6 on XP SP2.
I can't remember where I went to get the download. I'll have a poke around and see whether I can break it again :)

Ok, I tried downloading the component library, first using the "Or just download..." link which gives me a 300byte zip file.
The 300 byte file when opened in textpad says "An error occured: Could not find a part of the path D:\My Documents\Zip Files\Miradyne\ComponentLibraries.zip
Next I filled in the form and got the following ASP error page.
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
Again, all tests done on IE6 :) Cheers

Thanks much, DeveloperX. You found a bug! The paths to the files are in the web.config file, and they pointed to a location on my machine here, which explains why I didn't have a problem! All fixed now, and I owe you one!

No problem, glad to help. I received an email from you but my work systems have blocked it, but if the downloads kick in again I'll pull stuff straight off the site :) Cheers Ian
